We wish you a warm welcome to Kulturens hus in Luleå, the northern metropolis of Sweden and cultural town district of 2007. In the spring of 2005 the first sod for the building was cut and in January of 2007 the opening took place. Kulturens hus, our new meeting place, completes the image of Luleå as a town of experiences. With Kulturens hus we have made it possible for various cultural expressions to gather under the same roof, cross-fertilize each other and give our visitors experiences above what has earlier been possible. But it is also much more than this. Our local talents have been given a natural home stage to present themselves and obtain experience from. In addition to this, we must not forget the possibilities that the house is providing for the conference industry — with a capacity of up to 1000 persons we can now in earnest compete for the really big conferences.
THE ART GALLERY
The exhibition area is about 500 m2 divided into three exhibition halls and a long and slightly arched gallery. From the gallery level you also receive a nice survey over the art gallery in whole and a beautiful view over Luleås north port and Norrbottensteatern in the background
THE LIBRARY
Inside the house you can also found the city library. The exciting architecture of the building is noticeable especially in the library. An open space in three floors, built to letthoughts and ideas in.
CONCERT
In the middle of Luleå there is an oasis for music lovers. On our stages we offer you everything from rock music, pop music and jazz over to classical music, dance and children´s performances, something for every liking.
CONFERENCE
Kulturens hus is a popular meeting place for conferences and congresses with a capacity of up to 1000 persons. We have 7 modern and well-equipped conference rooms, each with a capacity of 2 - 70 persons.

A view that is billowy blue during summer and icy white during winter. Food and drink accompanies the season outside and harmonize with the activities indoors.

With Luleås north porth just round the corner and an open-air café during summer, the cafeteria at Kulturens hus has an extra inviting setting.
